The pace was slow at 8 in the morning. The out lying holes are great but it is bunched pretty tight in the middle. Very tight course, maybe too much for the land it is on. The staff were all very cordial. This was my first time there and I will play it again.

Weekends bring out a LOT of local duffers who make the pace of play much longer than it should be for this course. Marshalls need to be more concientious about keeping the pace of play at 4.5 hours at the most.

A course that can be walked! The courses run by the city are all walkable. This is not a long 18, not hilly and green to tee is short as it should be for a walking course.

Not sure that it was fair to choose as "Cons" the "Condition of the course" because they had just aerated the greens. Generally the greens are kept up very nicely and the fairways, too. Drainage is very good, especially after rain. Because the greens were aerated, the friendly staff at the pro shop discounted our green fees and the pace of play was excellent as there was not a crowd on the course. The staff at Bartley is very friendly and cordial and we always like to go back to play and it's nice and close to home. My friend and I played the white tees, so it was a challenge for us as it was a bit longer than the black tees....

The greens were very green, undulating and smooth, but were very slow. It was very hard to hold the green with any club, even wedges.

Traps need work or at least real sand.

Bartley is not an overly challenging golf course, but I was so impressed with the quality of the greens that I will probably play there again soon.

Nice course but too much crammed into too little space.
